Assistant Done: five cabinets, 66 boards, every part held. The fronts come out of one 2500 × 1250 sheet of birch ply, and the carcasses need four sheets of 18 mm PAL.

When it's time to cut
The cut list comes with it
- ESheets laid out for you. Every part packed onto standard sheet sizes, trying several orders and keeping whichever buys the least.
- FCut in order. Guillotine cuts numbered on each sheet, and the offcuts measured so you can use them later.
- GEdges and grain. Banding per edge with totals, grain kept along the length, mirror-image parts merged.
- HSolid wood too. Glue-up plans for panels, and what's already in your shop used first.
From idea to workshop

- Cut 2 Pick your materials Sheet goods and timbers come ready in your library, with their thickness, grain and sheet sizes.
- Cut 3 Open the cut list Sheets to buy, parts laid out, cuts numbered. Print it for the shop, or share a link.

- Is it free?
- Yes, everything in Offcut is free to use today, with no card needed. If that ever changes, you'll hear it from us first.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Offcut runs in your browser on a Mac or PC. A trackpad or a mouse with a middle button both work.
- Which AI assistants work with it?
- Claude and ChatGPT, or any app that takes MCP connectors. You add Offcut's address as a connector and sign in to Offcut to allow it.
- Does my friend need an account to see my design?
- No. A view or edit link opens the project straight away, in their browser. You can turn either link off whenever you like.
- What can I design?
- Furniture made of boards: cabinets, shelving, desks, beds, boxes. Shaped edges, live edges and round parts too.
